Halloween

I always buy pumpkins to decorate my porch early in the season, but I don't like to carve our jack-o-lanterns until right before Halloween because they rot so fast! So the day before Halloween, I took the kids to the St. Catherine's pumpkin patch so they could pick out the perfect pumpkins to make their jack-o-lanterns.

We came home & got straight to work.

Addy decided that she wanted to carve her's into an elephant

and Alex wanted Wash Buckler, a Skylander Swap Force character.

The next day was Friday, which was Halloween.
Addy dressed up as a witch

and Alex dressed up as a Skylander Swap Force.
(He actually got 2 costumes & wore the top of one & the bottom of the other. Because that's what Skylander Swap Force characters do, swap their tops & bottoms.)

And Nick & I went as Batman & Robin.

While we were out trick or treating in the neighborhood, we ran into one of Alex's friends in his class & so we walked around with his family for a bit.

The kids made it down 3 streets & then Alex decided he was DONE for the night! (Honestly, I think he was just ready to tear into his candy! Lol!)

But Addy wasn't, so she hung out on the porch & passed out candy to trick-or-treaters for awhile.

This was all the candy they got!
We obviously have a great neighborhood for trick-or-treating!

The kids had a blast as always on Halloween & they're both already talking about what they want to dress up as next year!
